During the past week, academics from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) were our guests within the scope of the digital irrigation management project we named DIMP (Data-driven Irrigation Management Project).
The kick-off meeting of the project was held. Workshops were held at our stakeholders UTAEM and BORSAV. In addition, a project protocol was signed between Ege University (EU)-TUAT cooperation agreements and EU-TUAT-ITB.
In the project, which will last for 3 years, the socio-economic effects of variable rate irrigation applications at the productivity, production and farmer level will be investigated with the data to be collected by remote sensing method based on water stress in cotton.
This cooperation is an important step in agricultural technologies and sustainable agricultural practices.
